Lady Tigers improve to 12-6 with sweep

The Ethel Lady Tigers went 3-0 on the week with a win over French Camp on Thursday night and a doubleheader sweep of East Oktibbeha on Monday to push their record to 12-6 overall with a 2-0 mark in region play.

Lady Whippets defeat region Leake Central

Dogs pick up big North Division win

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs scored 19 points in the fourth quarter to pick up a huge 27-8 North Division win here Thursday night over Mississippi Delta Community College.

Panthers drop Tigers

The Ethel Tigers fell to 0-6 on the year after falling to West Lowndes 40-8.  The win pushed the Panthers overall record to 2-4 on the year.

Margaret McBride

 

Margaret Dolly Beheler McBride, 81, of Brandon, died Sept. 24, 2014, at River Oaks Hospital in Brandon.

Lewis Ward

 

Lewis Ward, 94, a lifelong resident of the French Camp Community, passed away Sept. 21, 2014. He was born July 31, 1920.

Parent resource center now open

Officials with the Kosciusko School District have seen a need in recent years to provide more resources to area parents. As a result of that need, a new facility has been opened by the school board, which will provide additional support for parents and students.
