Woman stabbed; suspect on the loose

KOSCIUSKO — A Kosciusko woman was stabbed mulitple times Wednesday night on Heald Street.

Kosciusko Police officers arrived at 304 Heald St. to find Carolyn Sharkey with wounds to the back and shoulder area. She was transported to Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital where she she was airlifted to a Jackso-area hospital.

The KPD is asking for help in finding the whereabouts of suspect, Kent "Phil" Campbell,  who fled the scene prior to officers arriving. A warrant has been issued

for Campbell for aggravated assault.

Campbell is described as a black male, 6 feet tall. Anyone with any information  should call the KPD at 289-3131. All calls will be kept confidential.
