There will be four athletes, a coach and a manager representing the area when the all-star football games are played on Dec. 12 and Dec. 19.
Center Blake Harthcock of Kosciusko and Cramer Miller of Weir, who made the team as an athlete, were chosen to play in the Alabama/Mississippi All-Star Classic set for Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile on Dec. 12.
Kosciusko head coach Stan McCain will be one of the assistant coaches on the team. Anthony Hart of Lafayette County is the head coach.
Shawn Stricklin of Ackerman and Joffie Hogsett of Durant have been chosen to play for the North in the Bernard Blackwell All-Star Classic on Dec. 19 at Milner Stadium in Gulfport. Kickoff for that game has been tentatively set for 1 p.m.
Stoney Armstrong of Ethel High School will serve as a student manager for the South squad.
Stricklin is a running back for AHS, but is listed as a wide receiver for the North, while Hogsett, who plays quarterback for Durant, was chosen as a defensive back.
