Christmas parade moved to Thursday
Due to the rainy weather, the Kosciusko Christmas Parade has been moved from Monday to Thursday at 6:30 p.m. on the Square in Downtown Kosciusko.
A reception and autograph signing for Miss Mississippi Anna Tadlock will be held at 4 p.m. at Asiel’s, next door to Josephine’s Fine Gifts on the Square in Historic Downtown Kosciusko.
Tadlock is serving as the grand marshal of the Kosciusko Christmas Parade. The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. and this year’s theme is “The Spirit of Giving.”
Vehicles must be moved from the Square by 5 p.m.
The state’s new titleholder is no stranger to Attala County as she visits frequently with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Brunt in McCool. Her parents are Tommy and Felicia Tadlock of Brandon.
Anna is a graduate of Northwest Rankin High School in Brandon and graduated in May summa cum laude 2008 from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication.
During her reign as Miss Mississippi, Anna’s platform is promoting the importance of music education for children. She will be promoting the Children’s Miracle Network, which is the national platform adopted by the Miss America Organization.
