KOSCIUSKO — Kent "Phil Campbell, was charged with aggravated assault after he turned himself into the Kosciusko Police Department Friday morning.

Campbell fled the scene after Carolyn Sharkey was stabbed in the back and shoulder area at 304 Heald St. Wednesday. She was airlifted to a Jackson-area hospital.  Her condition is unknown.

"I would like to thank the officers of all agencies involved in pursing this suspect, the media for getting the word out to the public of this incident and the public for providing tips that kept Campbell moving from one place to another," KPD Chief R.J. Adams said.
