KOSCIUSKO —
A juvenile and a man have been charged in the recent rash of burglaries to Kosciusko businesses on Thursday.
Paul Greer Jr., 19, of Kosciusko, has been charged with possession of burglary tools, marijuana (felony) and a stolen firearm.
Greer was charged after the Kosciusko Police Department recovery of Greer’s vehicle with stolen items.
Also, a 15-year-old was charged with attempted arson after being caught setting Greer’s vehicle on fire in the KPD parking lot
KPD said more arrests are coming.
It is unclear what businesses’ items were recovered.
The most recent burglarized business, reported by KPD, was Summer Snow on Highway 12 Wednesday, where cash was taken.
On Monday, Craft Cleaners found the door damaged and cash taken from its downtown business. Family Dollar found some damage done to their storefront but nothing missing.
On March 18, Attala Lawn and Garden and Performance ATV reported a damaged doors and cash taken. Also, A-1 Car Wash had a lock cut and firearm stolen.
Two black armed robbers, wearing masks, took cash from a clerk at Dixie Gas on Highway 12 March 19.
