Chatwin Jackson, 85, of Attala County, is still missing according to law enforcement reports on Friday afternoon.
The Attala County Sheriff’s Department is thoroughly searching Attala County in hope to find a trace of the former district attorney.
Jackson, a former district attorney, was last seen in Kosciusko at Rib Alley on Saturday morning, where he meet with his morning coffee group. He left driving his 2003 Gray Subaru Forester with license plate ATA 050.
The Attala County Sheriff’s Department was alerted he was missing Saturday night after Jackson didn’t return to take his maid, Emma Perteet home.
There were three reports that Jackson was spotted in the Jackson area over the last several days.
A resident of Attala County talked to Chatwin Jackson Monday afternoon at the Picadilly Cafeteria off of I-55 in Jackson.
Two other possible sightings of Jackson included a woman and her husband seeing him at a movie theater in Pearl, where he told them he had seen the movie five times.
Lee said the woman was 99 percent sure it was Jackson.
Another report was that he had used an ATM in the Jackson area. After reviewing footage from the bank, it was determined that it was not Jackson.
No electronic trace of credit cards or a cell phone had been detected.
ACSD is working with the Kosciusko Police Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol and Mississippi Bureau of Investigation in the search.
If you have any information about Jackson, call the ACSD at 289-5556.
