The trial of Darrell McBride got underway Monday afternoon at the Webster County Courthouse in Walthall and will continue on Tuesday at 9 a.m. McBride is charged with the 2002 murder of local catfish farmer Charles Green.
The jury, pooled from Webster County, heard opening arguments and from many expert witnesses in law enforcement and from the medical field.
Several have testified to finding blood drops not belonging to Green.
The jury is made up of one black female, five white females and eight white men.
