Kosciusko native Alvin Loewenberg was recently featured in an edition of “Lifetime Living,” a publication for the residents and friends of Morningside Ministries of San Antonio, Texas.
He serves as president of Morningside Ministries (MM), a not-for-profit, faith-based organization that owns and operates 286 independent living apartments, 128 assisted living apartments and 387 nursing beds on three campuses.
Loewenberg, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Loewenberg Sr. of Kosciusko, is a graduate of Kosciusko High School, Millsaps College and Emory University.
Currently, Loewenberg serves on the board of directors for Goodwill Industries and a number of San Antonio-based health-care commitees and boards. He was named a Health Care Hero for “Administrative Excellence” by the San Antonio Business Journal. In 2004, he was presented with the Award of Honor from the Texas Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.
