Oprah Winfrey Boys & Girls Club Board Member Kim Williams, back left, and Board President Jerrelyn Jackson were present to meet with the winners of the Viking Grill raffle.

With their granddaughters, Miranda, 7, front, left, and Lacey Byrket, 5, of Santa Fe, Texas, Betty and Delma Lee of McCool picked up the grill last night. Betty, who ran an afterschool program in Texas, bought one ticket from board members at Wal-Mart just to give back to the club. She didn’t even want to fill out the ticket, she said. The club raised $4,000 from ticket sales.

Attala schools list registration dates, proofs
Pre-registration for Pre-K and Kindergarten students of Greenlee and Long Creek Elementary Schools will be held Feb. 6-27, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the office at each school.
Pre-K students now enrolled at either school will not need to register for Kindergarten.
