Guy Hovis concert to benefit PD School

KOSCIUSKO — Television and singing star, Guy Hovis, will be in concert at PDS on Thursday, February 7.  As one of the more recognizable faces in America, he has been on national television for more than 40 years beginning with Art Linkletter’s House Party Show on CBS in 1967.

He has recorded 15 albums, has been nominated as artist and producer of the year by the Gospel Music Association, and is a member of the Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame. Hovis is best known, however, for the 40 plus years he has been a regular member of the Lawrence Welk Television Show which is still aired on 280 public television stations with a weekly viewing audience of over 3 million.

The evening will begin at 4:30 with a silent auction and hors d’oeuvres in the First Presbyerian Church gym.  The auction will continue until 6 to give adequate time to make bids and enjoy a time of fellowship and refreshment.

The concert will begin at 7 in the First Presbyterian Church sanctuary.

Tickets are $15, and there will be a limited number sold to ensure good seating for this event.   You may purchase your tickets from Sonja Adams in the PDS office or Marsha Adams in the FPC office.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, January 16.
