KOSCIUSKO —
The Attala County Forestry Association (ACFA) quarterly meeting will be on Monday, October 22 at the Attala County Extension Office in Kosciusko at 6:30 p.m.
The program is on Tree Farm Certification Program. This program provides information about forest certification, an increasingly important marketing tool for landowners.
The half hour program focuses on The American Tree Farm System, the largest landowner certification in the United States.
For more than 70 years, ATFS has enhanced the quality of America’s woodlands by giving forest owners the tools they need to keep their forests healthy and productive. Stemming the loss of America’s woodlands is vital to our country’s clean water and air, wildlife habitat, recreational activities and producing the jobs, wood and paper products we all need.
The program is intended for private forest landowners and will take place October 22 at 6:30 p.m. Jason Gordon of the MSU Extension service will be the presenter.
