Holiday Tasting offered at Helping Hands benefit

KOSCIUSKO — Helping Hands’ annual Holiday Tasting fund raiser is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 9, and is being hosted by First Baptist Church with the event to be held in the Son Building.

A wide variety of holiday foods including appetizers, salads, casseroles, fruit, cheese, bread, pasta, cakes, pies and other delicacies will be offered from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Twenty Attala County churches are cooperating in providing the food and table decorations along with several health agencies and businesses.

“We are anticipating a good turnout as has been the case in other fundraisers. Money derived will be used to help those who visit Helping Hands throughout the year for food, clothing and other assistance,” said Pat Rice, Helping Hands director.

Tickets to the event are $10 and may be purchased from Helping Hands by calling 289-7031 or at the door the day of the event.

A feature of the day will be a silent auction with a number of items being offered. Second time around jewelry will also be sold.

Take out plates will be offered to those unable to stay and eat in the Son Building where seating will be provided.
