Kids in Kitchen is program for Summer Fun Thursday

KOSCIUSKO — The Attala County Summer Fun Program will feature Kids in the Kitchen on Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The program is offered for ages 6-14 and there is a fee of $10 for participation and will learn about health and good nutrition. There will be a time to explore Myplate and taste-test new foods from each of the food groups. In the kitchen they will prepare lunch and tasty snacks.

In the afternoon there will be games with physical exercise. Fifteen spaces are available.

• Basketball tourney set at B&G Club

  All basketball semi pro leagues, church teams and high school teams are invited to participate in a tournament planned May 18, 10 a.m. until, at the Oprah Winfrey Boys & Girls Club on Knox Road in Kosciusko.

• Planning meeting for school reunion Saturday

  A planning meeting for the New Garden School and Community reunion will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Gin and Kee’s Restaurant in McAdams.

• Mother’s Day luncheon May 10

  Helping Hands Mother’s Day luncheon fundraiser will be held May 10, 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Williamsville Baptist Church. Tickets are $10. There will be second time around jewelry, devotional books, purses and a silent auction.

  Citizens of Kosciusko, Attala County, and the surrounding area are invited to join the Attala County Ministerial Association for an observance of the 62nd  Annual National Day of Prayer today (Thursday) at Redbud Springs Park at the corner of South Natchez Madison Street and East Monroe Street in Kosciusko at 12:20 p.m.
