FCA to present play

KOSCIUSKO — French Camp Academy will present the play, To Kill a Mockingbird, on February 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. in the King Auditorium at FCA.

The play, published by Dramatic Publishing, is by Christopher Sergel and based on the book by Harper Lee.

“To Kill a Mockingbird” is a classic story about truth, justice, courage and compassion. It will entertain you and give you pause. Set in the 1930s in the small Alabama town of Maycomb, it reflects the prevailing attitudes of that society. Atticus Finch, one of the main characters, stands as a defender of truth as he defends a black man accused of a heinous crime. His children, Scout and Jem, as well as other town folks, move the story along.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $3 for high school students and younger. Matinee tickets are $2 for all attending. Because of the intensity of some of the scenes, you may want to make other arrangements for younger children.
