On Saturday the Attala County Farmers’ Market in cooperation with the Mississippi State Extension Service will host a farmers’ market interest meeting.
If you grow any type of vegetable or fruit crop, use locally grown produce or materials to make a food item or craft, or if you just want more information about membership and how the market functions, please be present.
Again, this meeting will be held at the Extension Office located on Fairground Road and will begin at 1 p.m. Speakers will include Dr. Bill Evans, Associate Research Professor from the Crystal Springs Truck Crops Farm and our Area Agent Agronomist, Dr. Earnie Flint. Crop selection, sustainability, marketing produce, and other issues will be discussed which is open to the public.
