Kosciusko community blood drive at Walmart

KOSCIUSKO — The greatest deeds are those that impact lives for a lifetime.

When you donate blood you are changing the world for the better. Mississippi Blood Services knows that blood donors change lives every day – one unit of blood at a time. It may be a small effort on your part but it’s a huge impact for a patient in need of blood.

Kosciusko will be holding a community blood drive on Monday from 12:30-6 p.m.  The MBS Donor Coach will be parked at the Kosciusko Walmart. All donors will receive a free T-shirt.

“Every day blood donors are taking part in changing lives,” Susan Ates, MBS public relations specialist, said. “Blood donors make an astounding difference in our community—they save lives, one unit of blood at a time. That’s pretty amazing.”

Donating blood is safe, simple and it saves lives. Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with signed parental consent, visit our Web site for a copy of the form), weigh at least 110 pounds and have a valid ID.
