Do you feel the power?

KOSCIUSKO — Power Balance wrist bands are sweeping Kosciusko.

Everywhere I look, I spot them. It’s like I have radar for them now.

If you watched the NBA finals or, in my case, visited with Attala County Sheriff William Lee or Kosciusko Mayor Jimmy Cockroft – you’ve seen the silicone bracelets with the Power Balance emblem.

According to the Web, Power Balance is Performance Technology designed to work with your body’s natural energy field.

Founded by athletes, Power Balance is a favorite among elite athletes for whom balance, strength and flexibility are important.

Power Balance is based on the idea of optimizing the body’s natural energy flow, similar to concepts behind many Eastern philosophies.

The hologram in Power Balance is designed to resonate with and respond to the natural energy field of the body.

I’m not much for new age stuff but I can say I put the bracelet on Friday night on my right wrist and all of the sudden, I felt a little different.

It was a strange sensation but all that has passed.

My hair stylist, Atara McKinnon, said she had a similar experience when she placed her wrist band on. So, at least I am not alone in this.

I feel as though I have more energy.

Those with chronic back pains or old sports injuries seem to have less aches and pains while wearing the bracelets.

NBA player  Shaquille O’Neal said of the bracelets, “I kept feeling something when I wore the bracelet, so I kept wearing it. When I took it off I went back to normal. I’ve been wearing the bracelet ever since. I want to do everything to get the slightest advantage; wristbands, necklaces, t-shirts, band-aids, everything and anything we can get our hands on. I’m here to tell you it works!”
