Meeting Charlie
I waited patiently to meet Charlie Musselwhite at the reception following the Blues Marker dedication on Friday and I was not disappointed.
The Blues icon was warm and welcoming and extremely flattered by all the well-wishers and other local folks who want to spend a few minutes with him.
In the brief time that he spoke with me, I found out that he was a good friend to Blues singer Muddy Water (a Rolling Forkian like myself).
And that he is not only a singer of the Blues and a fine harmonica player, but an actor to boot.
Charlie has about a dozen or so lines in the film “Pig Hunt.”
It’s a horror flick with a few laughs and he plays a store owner named Charlie.
The movie centers around the legend of The Ripper – a murderous three-thousand-pound black boar. You can find a trailer on www.youtube.com and even see a bit of Charlie.

Home sweet home

Why you ask? About four years ago, the husband and I decided to make a rose bed at our Pontotoc home. I told him we needed to make a list of everything we needed. -
