Mr. and Mrs. John Tharp of Sallis announce the engagement of their daughter, Hilliary Ann Tharp, to Charles Zachary O’Briant, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dana O’Briant of Durant.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Rosemary Wilbanks and the late Captain Hilliard Wilbanks of Sallis, formerly from Glen Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sechler of New York, and Mr. and Mrs. Travis Tharp of Greenville.
Miss Tharp is a graduate of East Holmes Academy. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Business Administration from Mississippi College, and is the Public Relations Director at Wimberly and Associates in Jackson.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Durwood O’Briant of West, and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.N. (Buddy) Simpson of Sallis.
O’Briant is a graduate of East Holmes Academy, and is employed with Transocean Deep Water Drilling Company.
The couple will exchange vows at 3:30 in the afternoon March 20, 2010 at Sallis Baptist Church in Sallis. The reception will follow at the Kosciusko Country Club
