Huff-Ellard vows planned in Jackson

MORTON — Mrs. Sarah Stephens Huff of Morton is pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Wendy Suzanne, to Benjamin Lance Ellard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Middleton of Ferriday, Louisiana, and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Ellard, Jr. of Philadelphia. Ms. Huff is also the daughter of the late Elzy West Huff of Morton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Benjamin Stephens of Forest and the late Mr. and Mrs. Pascal West Huff of Polkville. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Joan Gandy and the late Rev. Dr. L. Edward Gandy of Brandon, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Ellard, Sr. of Kosciusko.

The bride-elect, a graduate of Morton High School, received an associate of science degree from East Central Community College and a bachelor of science degree in political science from Mississippi State University. Ms. Huff received her doctor of jurisprudence degree from the University of Mississippi and is now an associate attorney with the Jackson office of Baker, Donelson, Caldwell, Bearman, and Berkowitz, PLLC.

The prospective bridegroom, originally from Kosciusko, is a graduate of Brandon High School. He attended the University of Mississippi where he received a bachelor of science degree in hospitality management and was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Mr. Ellard is now a Project Manager with the Center for Violence Prevention in Pearl.

The wedding will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon at First Baptist Church Chapel in Jackson with a reception immediately following at The Commons.
