Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Robertson of Newport announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Regan Robertson, to Christopher Duane Carpenter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wade H. Carpenter, Jr. of Jackson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William L. Robertson of Sallis and Mr. and Mrs. Bailey D. Hutchison of Newport.
She is a 2001 graduate of East Holmes Academy. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2005 with a Bachelor of Court Reporting Degree. She is employed by the Sixth Chancery Court District as the Official Court Reporter for the Honorable Edward C. Fenwick.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wade H. Carpenter, Sr. of Jackson and Mrs. Maynard Turner of Jackson and the late Mr. Turner.
He is a 2000 graduate of Forest Hill High School. He received his AA Degree from Hinds Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Mississippi College. He is currently employed by Nissan of Canton.
The couple is planning a September wedding in Natchez.
