Ables-Stevens vows planned for October

KOSCIUSKO — Mr. and Mrs. James Ronald “Ronnie” Ables of Kosciusko announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Kristen Elise, to Brandon Allen Stevens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pierce Allen Stevens Jr. of Anguilla.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hugh Ables of Sallis and the late Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Plunkett of Williamsville.

Kristen is a 2008 graduate of Kosciusko High School where she was a four-year letterman on the Lady Whippet Basketball Team, team captain, member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Beta Club and Mayor’s Youth Council. She is a 2010 graduate of Holmes Community College and is currently a Radiology Technology student at Hinds Community College where she will graduate in May 2013.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Pierce Allen Stevens Sr. of Hattiesburg and Ms. Maureen Rhinehart of Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Brandon is a 2008 graduate of Sharkey-Issaquena Academy where he was captain of the football and basketball teams his senior year, member of the Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In May 2012, he received a Certificate in Electrical Technology from Hinds Community College and is currently employed with ADCO Electrical Contractors in Jackson.

The couple will exchange vows at First Baptist Church of Kosciusko on Saturday, October 6, at 5 p.m. A reception will immediately follow at the Redbud Springs Golf and Country Club.

No local invitations are being sent but all friends and family are invited to attend the wedding and reception.
