Dr. and Mrs. Wirt Fletcher Shrock, Jr. of Durant, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Laura Katherine, to Corey Matthew Latham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Williams Latham of Kilmichael.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Dr. Julian and Irma Lee Janes of McComb and Mrs. Wirt F. Shrock of Goodman and the late Mr. Wirt F. Shrock.
She is a graduate of East Holmes Academy, Holmes Community College, and the University of Mississippi. In May 2010, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Mississippi. Laura will graduate in May 2013, with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree.
Mr. Latham is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Cook of Gore Springs and the late Mr. Melvin Jones of Metairie, Louisiana, and Mrs. James R. Latham of Kilmichael and the late Mr. James R. Latham.
He is a graduate of East Holmes Academy, Holmes Community College, and Mississippi State University with Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. He is employed by Northwest Rankin Middle School in Flowood.
The wedding will be November 17, 2012, at six o’clock in the evening at First United Methodist Church in Durant. A reception will follow at the Howard-Dickerson Building. No local invitations are being sent. All family and friends are invited to attend the wedding and reception.
