Mr and Mrs G.M. Gallaspy, Jr of Chelsea, AL are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Rachel Rebecca Gallaspy to Jeremy Roger Bailey, son of Mrs. Janice Bailey and the late Mr Jerry R. Bailey of Sylvan Springs, AL.
The couple will exchange vows on June 26, 2010 at Meadow Brook Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL. Dr Ron Sumners will officiate the ceremony.
The bride-elect is the grandaugher of Mr G.M. Gallaspy, Sr and the late Mrs. Ellouise Gallaspy of Kosciusko, MS and the late Mr and Mrs Hilton Crosby of Scottsboro, AL.
Miss Gallaspy is a graduate of Childersburg High School in Childersburg, AL. She earned her bachelor of science in nursing, master of science in nursing and master of science in public health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She currently works as a pediatric nurse practitioner and department head at Children's Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr and Mrs Alfred J. Nichols of Sylvan Springs, AL and the late Mr Mason Bailey and the late Mr and Mrs Judge Davis of Chelsea, AL.
Mr Bailey is a graduate of Hueytown High School in Hueytown, AL. He graduated with a bachelor of science in justice sciences from UAB. He is a regional director of loss prevention for Hibbett Sporting Goods in Birmingham, AL.
Following a honeymoon in Nassau, Bahamas, the couple will reside in Birmingham, AL.
