KOSCIUSKO — The Star-Herald Costume Contest was held in conjuntion with the 23rd Annual Safety Parade on Halloween
The winners are: Ages 0-3, first place, Paxton Miles (Mona McDaniel and Joey Miles) and runner-up, Rosalee Bell (Chris and Heidi Bell); ages 4-6, first place, Emma Claire Rhodes (Brandon and Shauna Rhodes) and runner-up Madelyn Rosamond (Lee Ann Rosamond); ages 7-12, Liam Taylor (Gabe and Angela Taylor), and runner-up, Gracie Burrell (Christian and Tracey Burrell).
Approximately 124 children participated in the costume contest. Thanks to our judges and our participants in the contest.
Also a thanks to Suzanne Rush for lending her face painting talents to the children and to all participating merchants, Attala County Library and Holmes Community College Softball Team in handing out treats.
