The Town of Ethel celebrated the “JOY of Christmas” Saturday evening with the Ethel High School Marching Band performing Christmas tunes at the town pavilion.
A well-attended parade began at 6:30 on Ethel’s Main Street.
Winning entries in the parade were:
– Best of Show – Allison Mitchell
– Best Float – Louis Tyler
– Best Golf Cart/ATV – Billy and Janie Bridges
– Best Religious (tie) –Suzette Tanksley and Charlie Jones
– Most Original – Ted and Eva Burns
– Best Horse – Miranda Burchfield’s Lady
This year’s grand marshals were Ida B. Dotson and Sue Jennings.
