Annual Kosciusko pageant names beauties

On Saturday, January 30, 2010, the Kosciusko Jr. High Cheerleaders hosted the “2010 Beauty Review” which was held at the KJHS Auditorium. The first session started at 2 p.m., which featured girls from Kindergarten to 5th grade. The second session started at 6 p.m. for girls in grades 6-12.

There were five divisions and each division had a “Most Beautiful”, four Beauties, and a Ms. Photogenic. The emcee for the both sessions was Erin Cox of Kosciusko.

Both sessions of the 2010 Beauty Review were judged by Juan McCullum, Phillip D. Hampton, Hillary Cook of Starkville, and Brittany White of Clinton. The judges were treated to dinner at Frenchie’s Fine Foods. Autumn Lewis, Mary Kate Jenkins, Lyn Browning, Holli Dawkins, Macie Owens, Allison Ray, Mimi Ngyuen, Allentress Ellis, and Rebecca Patterson modeled spring apparel.

The contestants for the K-1 division were Erin Nail, Chloe Westbrook, Caroline Dew, Macie Alford, Jenna Stanley, Emma Nicole Reed, Kathryn Clare Schuler, Emmagail Kelley, Emma Rush, Zaria Sandifer, Kelly Inez Hood, Hayley Haffey, Lizzie Kate Jones, Lindsey Marie Thayer, Sania Riley, Devyn Pope, Lexi Tate, Laurel Richmond, Makalee’ Bell, Anna Catherine Cheek, Ella Provis, Kily Hodges Stewart, Emma Crosby, Ja’Nesha Harmon, Arden Reynolds, Chloe Lane Cloninger, Lexi Edwards, Abigail Sunshine, Anna Grace Mancell, Lacey Gail Greenlee, and Arissa Olive. Anna Leigh Jones, last years’ winner crowned Zaria Sandifer as “Most Beautiful” with Kathryn Claire Schuler, Emma Crosby, Emma Reed, Lacey Greenlee as beauties. Kathryn Claire Schuler was named Ms. Photogenic for K-1 grade division.

The contestants for the 2nd - 3rd grade division were Aliya Westbrook, Haleigh Sumner Outlaw, Macy Colleen Arnold, Alyssa Biggart, Aubrianna McBride, Abbey Noelle McCrory, Yarticia Lakia Latiker, Jy’Lisha Trishae Miller, Madison Autry, Angel Lee Woods, Mackenzie Alford, Diamond Rayford, Madison Mennemeier, Kyahndrea Rainey, Alexis Greenlee, Tierra Olive, Ashlyn Lepard, Catherine McAdams, Alex Janea Wilder, and Mallory Ransom. Jerra Jackson, last years’ winner, crowned Mallory Ransom as “Most Beautiful” with Alexis Greenlee, Tierra Olive, Aubrianna McBride, and Ashlyn Lepard as Beauties for the 2-3 grade division. Aubrianna McBride was named Ms. Photogenic.

The end of the afternoon session was drawing near with the final division of girls in grades 4th-5th. The contestants in this division were Sara Bailey Jones, Avie Anna Massey, Mahogany Perteet, Madeline Frank, Haley Skeen, Keyerra Dawson, Gabbie Kelley, Audrey Claire Henderson, Ashley Trehern, and Camryn Danielle Greer.. Abby Singletary, last years’ winner, crowned Madeline Frank as “Most Beautiful” with Gabbie Kelley, Sara Bailey Jones, Camryn Danielle Greer, Keyerra Dawson, as Beauties. Madeline Frank was named as Ms. Photogenic.

The 6:00 session started with the presentation of contestants from the 6-8 division. The 6-8 division had 20 contestants competing for Most Beautiful. The contestants for this division were Jordan Tharp, Alyssa Williams, Brooke Manning, Lyric Markala Griffin, Anslye Rosamond, Bre Barrentine, Madison Haley, Kassidy Williams, Makayla Parker, Anna Claire Mooney, MacKenzie Dickerson, Courtney Ashmore, Alyssa Olive, Karlie Melyn Medine, Bethanie Irving, Alison June Franks, Kara Rhodes, D’Allegra Cochran, Victoria Stanley, Carlin Brooke Pope. Kaylan Crosby, last years’ winner, crowned Mackenzie Dickerson as “Most Beautiful” with Madison Haley, Alyssa Olive, Kassidy Williams, and Courtney Ashmore as Beauties along with Kassidy Williams as Ms. Photogenic.

The contestants for the 9-12 division were Lauren Tharp, Katie Lea Ferguson, Margaret Caroline Pound, Lauryl Massey, Alexis Johnson, Meredith Thomas, Lauren Bailey Ramage, Kaitlan Victoria Cobb, Karly Blake Meacham, Cassandra Kayelynn Cobb, Skye Mann, Katie Morgan Medine, JoAna Franks, Jana King, Ariel Haynes, Kaitlin Fowler, Jescah Marie Dedeaux, and Kaitlyn Howell. Last year’s winner, Shea Rigby crowned Jana King as “Most Beautiful” along with Lauren Tharp, JoAnna Franks, Kathie Ferguson, and Caroline Pound as Beauties along with Jana King as Ms. Photogenic.

The girls that participated in the 2009 Beauty Review had a wonderful time and looked fantastic.

    A majority of the Kosciusko retail merchants who are members of the Chamber of Commerce have indicated their intention of beginning the usual Thursday afternoon closing on Jan. 12. A heavy majority of those polled by the Merchants Subcommittee indicated preference for the same date as was observed last year.
