On Saturday, January 31, 2009, the Kosciusko Junior High Cheerleaders hosted the “2009 Beauty Review” which was held at the KJHS Auditorium.
The first session started at 2 p.m., which featured girls from Kindergarten to 5th grade. The second session started at 6 p.m. for girls in grades 6-12. There were five divisions and each division had a “Most Beautiful”, four Beauties, and a Ms. Photogenic. The emcee for the both sessions was Erin Cox of Kosciusko.
Both sessions of the 2009 Beauty Review were judged by Shando Gardner from Starkville, Melissa Acy from Winona, Linda Smith and Melia Moore both from Meridian. The judges were treated to dinner at Frenchie’s Fine Foods.
Jasmine Albreht, Mary Kate Jenkins, Jana King, Mimi Ngyuen, Rebecca Patterson, and Chelsea Ward modeled spring apparel.
The contestants for the K-1 division were Lily Collins, Amari Warren, Mia Munoz, Madison Autry, Alyssa Pollard, Mackezie Moore, Aliya Westbrook, Anna Jones, Jy’lisha Miller, Kathryn Schuler, Hayley Haffey, Kelly Hood, Lexi Edwards, Estefania Arvizu, Abby Tubby, Ansley Gordon, Anna Grace Rigby, Lacey Greenlee. Tierra Olive, last years’ winner crowned Anna Leigh Jones as “Most Beautiful” with Kathryn Schuler, Jy’lisha Miller, Lacey Gail Greenlee, and Madison Autry as beauties. Hayley Haffey was named Ms. Photogenic for K-1 grade division.
The contestants for the 2nd - 3rd grade division were Gabbie Kelley, Madison Ballard, Sara Bailey Jones, Haleigh Outlaw, Kaleigh Myer, Aubrianna McBride, Kelsey Tubby, Jerra Jackson, Cori Hopson, and Lexi Greenlee. Madeline Frank, last year’s winner, crowned Jerra Jackson as “Most Beautiful” with Sara Bailey Jones, Gabbie Kelley, Aubrianna McBride, and Lexi Greenlee as Beauties for the 2-3 grade division. Sara Bailey Jones was named Ms. Photogenic.
The end of session was drawing near with the final division with the girls in grades 4th-5th. The contestants in this division were Abby Singletary, Shania Swain, Angel Hill, Courtney Fuller, Raelyn Williams, Keyerra Dawson, Jade Pee, Abagail McAdams, Ashley Trehern, Bethanie Irving, and Jordan Tharp. Alyssa Olive, last years’ winner, crowned Abby Singletary as “Most Beautiful” with Jade Pee, Jordan Tharp, Angel Hill, Raelyn Williams as Beauties. Abby Singletary was named as Ms. Photogenic.
The 6 o’clock session started with modeling from some juniors and seniors from Kosciusko High School. The 6-8 division had 28 contestants competing for Most Beautiful. The contestants for this division were Kaitlan Cobb, Jenna Parker, Kaitlin Fowler, Autumn Lewis, Lauryl Massey, Anna Claire Mooney, Kali Roberts, Courtney Ashmore, Tiffany Story, Alyssa Williams, Alyssa Gullett, Ashton Rogers, Bree Burnley, Morgan Goodwin, Victoria Stanley, Kassidy Williams, Brenda Arizu, Jessica Reynolds, Kaylan Crosby, Skye Mann, Autumn Augustine, Vanessa Ramirez, Akia Hollands, Madison Haley, Jenni Kate Miles, Cara Bell, Nylah Selmon, Alison Franks, and Mackenzie Dickerson.
Caroline Pound, last year’s winner, crowned Kaylan Crosby as “Most Beautiful” with Skye Mann, Mackenzie Dickerson, Jenni Kate Miles, and Autumn Lewis as Beauties along with Mackenzie Dickerson as Ms. Photogenic.
The contestants for the 9-12 division were Victoria Cheek, Brittany Sims, Audreyuna Lee, Jessica Dedeaux, Victoria Sheffield, Meredith Thomas, Katie Ferguson, Aimee Lishman, Caitlin Cain, Lauren Tharp, Shea Rigby, Tina Anderson, Cassandra Cobb, Kasey Sarri, Kathlyn Browning, Monica McMillan, Jasmine Foster, JoAna Franks, and Olivia Payne. Last year’s winner, Mallory Myers. crowned Shea Rigby as “Most Beautiful” along with JoAna Franks, Lauren Tharp, Meredith Thomas, and Kathlyn Browning as Beauties along with Cassandra Cobb as Ms. Photogenic.
The girls that participated in the 2009 Beauty Review had a wonderful time and looked fantastic.
