Junior Auxiliary raises $36,000 for community projects

The Junior Auxiliary is calling this year’s Denim and Diamonds event a success, having raised more than $36,000 gross Saturday night, Feb. 13. The funds will go to the less fortunate in Kosciusko and Attala County through various local projects that the Junior Auxiliary helps support.

The event was organized by Lauren Moore, the incoming president for the year, and included the crowning of the King and Queen, Dr. and Mrs. Timothy Alford. The 2010 Kosciusko Junior Auxiliary Servanthood Award went to both Lauren Moore and Mandi Gant for showing leadership toward helping children in the community. The Royal Court was announced, followed by the silent auction, $1000 draw down, dinner provided by Jeremy Grantham. Crossin Dixon was the entertainment.

The members of Junior Auxiliary would like to thank you for your generous support. We are confident that the projects and services that JA has provided over the years have made a difference in the lives of many people. Thanks to your help, Junior Auxiliary will be able to continue this long-standing tradition for many years to come. This Denim and Diamonds event would not be a success without your continued support.
