    The Town of Ethel  celebrated the “JOY of Christmas” Saturday evening with the Ethel High School Marching Band performing Christmas tunes at the town pavilion.
    A well-attended parade began at 6:30 on Ethel’s Main Street.

    Marking the close of the summer reading program at the Attala County Library, 250 certificates are being awarded  children who have read at least 16 books during the summer months, discloses Mrs. Paul tardy, librarian. The 250 children receiving the certificates, are enrolled in the first through sixth grades of the Kosciusko schools.
