Carlton Ashford, 23, of Kosciusko, who allegedly shot Darnell Greer, 32, in the forehead on Saturday, September 23, was returned to Kosciusko Municipal Court from Rankin County for a preliminary hearing in the case Tuesday morning.
One man has been convicted an attempted armed robbery of the Exxon station at the intersection of Highways 12 and 35 in Kosciusko on January 28, 2016. Cases against his two alleged accomplices have not yet been tried.
The Sallis Water System will be putting a new project up for bid September 29 after receiving a grant from the Mississippi Development Authority to improve water services.
