Editor’s note: Max Winters of Sallis was found dead in Holmes County on Jan. 23.
The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord.
This note is to the person/persons that took my son’s earthly life on Saturday, Jan. 23. His body is gone from me, but his spirit will never die.
I only hope for you that you will confess your sins so that you can be forgiven. You might think you have done something big, something to brag about, but whom can you tell? Those of you that know what happened are trying to hide it. Maybe you can hide from man, but you can’t hide from God.
You can’t sleep at night, you’re afraid to go anywhere and every time you close your eyes you see Max. Everywhere you go you feel him walking behind you. He will always be with you. You will never rest until you confess.
Max is at rest. No worries. No pains. Only peace and happiness from now on. For your sake, pray and confess your sins because what goes around comes around.
I miss my son and always will, but I know in my heart he is always with me. He hugged and kissed me every night and told me he loved me.
When was the last time you told your mother that you loved her? May God have mercy on your soul.
