What happened to working for the ‘people’

Please help me to get this straight. In the past few months thousands of people across our great nation have died as a direct result of the coldest winter in the past 20 years.

We have a capital city literally shut down as a result of freezing pipes. The international weather monitoring services are reporting that the mean average temperature has lowered more than 1 degree world wide, and I could go on and on.

Yet the president and the Democrat controlled Congress continue to push, behind closed doors and in secret sessions, a climate control bill, known as “Cap and Trade” or “Cap and Tax.”

A bill that would, according to President Obama, raise all energy bills for every American family and raise all costs of fuel and heating oils across the nation. All in the premise of “Global Warming” a false lie perpetuated by Al Gore and some fanatical special interest groups that would benefit from this legislation. Much like the Federal Universal Service Fund Fee that Al Gore got passed as the “Al Gore Tax” which is added to every phone bill we have today. Yet no one in government can tell you how these fees are spent to this day as they accrue millions upon millions of dollars in a special holding account.

Also, I would like anyone to explain why such legislation can be pushed down our throats without bipartisan participation and openness as promised by candidate Obama. Oh, I forgot like all Democrats, he just lies to get into power. And why is our 2nd District Congressman Bennie Thompson blindly working and voting lock step against the Constitution and people he represents?

What happened to the phrase – “Of the people, for the people, by the people.”?

I hope “we the people” don’t forget on voting day.
