The Star Herald

Enclosed is my check for $37 to renew my Star-Herald.
I left Attala County in May 1942 – a long time ago. The Star-Herald has followed me in all my moves from New York City to Memphis, TN, several places in between. What a blessing to have such a wonderful hometown paper.
The photograph of the little boy dressed in his military uniform like his father was worth a thousand words. I hope a copy of that photograph will be saved for him to show his children and grandchildren.
You ladies are doing a great job with the paper. Your coverage of the National Guard Homecoming was outstanding.
I wish Stokes had a story to tell every week. He’s a chip off the old block. Mr. Stokes (his grandfather) would be so proud of him.
