KOSCIUSKO —
I’m writing in reference to a letter signed by E.B. Hill Jr. and dated Feb. 9 or rather to be correct, it was in the paper on that date. In it, Mr. Hill raises a question of whether or not God is trying to tell us something with so many of the terrible events and things taking place in our world.
If we look carefully at some of the evil and violent crimes happening in some of our cities, how can we not be concerned?
Our Bible teaches that God set aside one day a week as a day for worship and rest. We were to bring in our tithes and offerings and with songs and prayers worship our creator. But, our churches are almost empty on Sunday while stadiums are packed, parks and picnic grounds are full, and shopping malls teeming with crowds of shoppers.
Our failure to be obedient and worship grieves the heart of God. Let us all hope and pray that we will change our ways before it is too late.
Your in Christ,
Mary Norrell
