The Kosciusko High School fast-pitch softball team has wrapped up its summer season with a 14-2 record.
The Lady Whippets defeated Hebron Christian 7-1 and Starkville Christian 12-0 on Monday night, before beating Starkville 14-0 and losing to Starkville Academy on Tuesday.

HE JUST KEEPS ON WINNING
Age doesn't get in John Sorrells' way.
The 80-year-old Kosciusko man picked up two gold medals recently when he competed in the 2009 Senior Olympics Bowling Tournament in Jackson.
The 80-year-old Sorrells and 63-year-old David Sumner of Noxapater teamed up to take the gold in the 60-65-year-old bracket ad Sorrells won the singles title in the 70-over division.
WET A HOOK AND CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE
All Mississippians can fish without a license on Saturday, July 4.
The program — supported by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks — is good for one day only and if you are going to fish on July 5, it would be a good idea to have a license.
