Social media workshop planned Monday

KOSCIUSKO — Business owners seeking to promote their business through social media will have the opportunity to learn more during a Monday workshop at the Koscuisko Attala Development Corporation office on East Jefferson Street.

The workshop, conducted by MojoLoco, LLC, is designed to educate local business on how to use various social platforms at their disposal and to highlight some ways in which the city can offer tools and resources to help them maximize their social presence.

The workshop is broken into four 50-minute segments on:

10 a.m.:  Social Setup- creating profiles and pages and staying within policy and guidelines for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, Pinterest and others

11 a.m.:  Managing Customer Experience - monitoring/leveraging ratings platforms on TripAdvisor, Urbanspoon, Hotels.com, and others, and tips on how to turn negatives into positives.

 Noon – 1p.m.: Break for lunch. Lunch will not be provided.

 1p.m.:  Social Marketing 101 - available apps and platforms to help you promote your business

 2 p.m.:  Free Tools- a look at several tools to be provided to attendees of the workshop

Attendees can come and go as they please, participating in the segments that are of interest to them.  You may also bring your laptop to the event and follow along with the presenter.  Please call to reserve your space.
