KOSCIUSKO —
Due to board training on November 5, the Attala County School Board voted to move their meeting to November 8 at 5:30 in the Attala County Courthouse.
During the October 8 meeting, the board tabled the request for administrators to use the driver’s education car when traveling on school business. The board sought more information on the matter.
The board approved a $5,000 stipend for Federal programs/special education secretary Carol Morgan.
Under personnel, the board accepted the resignation of teacher assistant Melinda Ellard. They also approved cafeteria and teacher substitutes. They are: Kathleen Davenport, Willie Carter and Liz Wilson.
Lawrence Bouchillion’s unused leave was paid due to his retirement.
Consent agenda items were improved including: travel, removal from fixed assets, bus easement for Wimpy Winters and school trips. Claims were also approved.
Under 16th Section, a lease cancellation, the forestry authorization of services for section 16-14-8 and advertising for 480 acres for hunting and fishing bids on section 16-14-8. The annual district test security plan was adopted.
