Attala Fitness and Tanning held its grand re-opening Saturday to showcase its newly remodeled office and new workout equipment. The 10-year-old establishment also has a new spray tan booth and gave away a variety of door prizes. Fitness demonstrations were held outside for passersby and a healthy selection of refreshments were served. Attala Fitness also donated a punching bag to the Attala County Fire Department.

KLE students sing ‘Smoke Free Me’ with Ott
Students from Kosciusko Lower Elementary will soon be hitting the radio airwaves with SmokeFree Mississippi spokesperson and radio/TV personality Paul Ott.
They recorded, along with several students from the Jackson-area, at the SmokeFree Mississippi press conference at the State Capitol on Jan. 25 in Jackson. The song, “Smoke Free Me,” talks of the pitfalls of second-hand smoke and its effects. -
