Breakfast Bowl Challenge began this morning


The second annual Breakfast Bowl Challenge in observance of National School Breakfast Week began this morning at Attala County Schools.

Theme for the week is “School Breakfast: Ready, Set Go.” A trophy will be awarded to the high school with the largest number of participants.

All schools have different fun events planned. All schools will observe designated days. They are Jersey Day, Boot Day, Lucky Tray Day, Camo Day, School Spirit Day, Breakfast and a Movie.

At Ethel, prizes will be gift certificates to students and staff. At McAdams, in addition to activities of designated days, a rap contest will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m.

At Greenlee, activities will include a basketball game, students vs staff on Friday. At Long Creek, the year’s theme will be carried out with their version entitled “Speedway to Success. Parents of kindergarten and pre-k students will come for breakfast and watch a movie.

Cafeteria managers are Katherine Truss, Ethel; Martha Jones, McAdams; Sabrina Ward, Greenlee; Genelle Stingley, Long Creek. They are coordinating the week’s activities with Gay Ann Fancher, School Food Service Director for the Attala County Schools.
