City School Board takes care of district business

KOSCIUSKO — The Kosciusko City School Board met August 6 to take care of necessary business for the district.

They approved:

– Minutes from July 16 and July 25

– Policy on entrance into the Accelerated English, Biology and Algebra I.

– Payment to William Atkinson for two students with credit recovery.

– List of substitute bus drivers and cafeteria workers for the upcoming school year.

– Hire Phillip Smith as a special needs teacher at the alternative school for the current school year.

– Hire Chris Herron as an assistant teacher at the alternative school and as assistant baseball and football coach.

– Hire Alicia Anderson as a Kosciusko High School cafeteria child nutrition worker.

– Francis Melton as a substitute teacher

– Data Collection policy updates for the current school year.

– Bid from American Coated Products for ink and masters

– Bid for Fuelman gasoline and diesel

– Consent agenda: claims docket, financial report for July, temporary easement between A.J. Johnson and the Attala County School Board Supervisors, travel for Presley Tate, Brandy Hood, Joy White Amanda, Medine, Marie Peeler, Jana Walforth, Renee Cox, Tessa Horn, Lindsay Dickerson and Pam Patton for training.
