New street signs downtown

KOSCIUSKO — In an effort to improve the looks of the Historic Downtown Square in Kosciusko, the Attala County Board of Supervisors purchases black post and new street signs for each corner of the square along with the proper signage. They were recently installed.

During a recent  “First Impression” presentation from the John C. Stennis Institute of Government at Mississippi State University at the Mary Ricks Cultural Center, those in attendance heard visitors impressions of Kosciusko as they toured the community. One of their findings was to change the appearance of the street signage around the Square. Other improvements around the Square in recent years includes the resurfacing and installation of cross walks as well as the lighting around the Attala County Courthouse.
