KOSCIUSKO —
Sue Harmon, chair for the Attala County Democratic Executive Committee, will leave Sunday for the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte North Carolina.
She is the first delegate from Attala County in many years to the convention. Sue is prepared to give a good representation of Attala County and Mississippi at the convention.

Aisle of Honor: Myers to speak at Memorial Day event
The bi-annual Aisle of Honor ceremony will be held Monday shining a light on the deceased veterans of Attala County at Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko.
Approximately 300 flags will fly 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Memorial Day with ceremony being held at 11 a.m. -

Students at Koscusko Lower Elementary enjoyed Field Day activities May 17 on the school’s playground. Activities included: three-leg race, basketball toss, hula-hooping, playing on the playground equipment, and other relay-type activities.

Road at McAdams school discussed by school, supes
The closing of the road that runs through McAdams High School and the building of another road has been discussed by the Attala County School Board for awhile now.

Ride of Silence held in Kosciusko
Cyclists gathered in Downtown Kosciusko May 15 to take part in the National Ride of Silence. The mission of the world wide ride is to honor bicyclists killed by motorists, promote sharing the road, and provide awareness of bicycling safety.

On Monday Larry E. Gaston, 43, was arrested for shoplifting felony at WalMart by officer Jerry Coleman. -
