KOSCIUSKO — Some ice formed on trees late Monday afternoon, but melted through the night when temperatures did not continue to drop.
Danny Townsend, Attala County Emergency director, said no damage from the rains during the last several days and from the threatening ice on Monday was reported to his department.
“Roads are all clear and we are not under a warning for ice, however, a flash flood warning is in effect until 6 p.m. today (Tuesday).
Townsend said there reports from MDOT that trees were down on some roads in the area. Townsend said there’s a forecast of a mix of snow and rain on Wednesday and Thursday.
Highs are expected to be in the 40s and lows in the 20s for the remainder of the week. A 50 percent chance of snow is expected on Thursday. Sunny skies should be headed our way for the weekend with highs in the 50s.
