Robber is jailed

KOSCIUSKO — A Kosciusko man is in the Attala County Jail charged with the Thursday morning armed robbery of Crossroads Grocery on Highway 19S, according to Sheriff Tim Nail.

 

Charged is DeAngelo D. Taylor, 22, of Kosciusko who turned himself in at the sheriff’s office about 1 p.m. Thursday. His bond has been set at $50,000.

According to the sheriff’s report, Taylor entered the grocery and convenience store about 9 a.m. Thursday and demanded money from Johnny Dean, the store’s owner. An undisclosed amount was taken. Some of the money was reported recovered at Taylor’s residence on Crawford Street.

The Kosciusko Police Department and MBI assisted personnel of the sheriff’s office following the robbery. Sheriff Nail expressed appreciation for their assistance.
