KOSCIUSKO —
Children, ages 12 and under, are being sought to show off their Halloween costumes during a contest held in conjunction with The Star-Herald’s annual Safety Parade on Wednesday, October 31.
Both events are aimed strictly for children and will take place on the Historic Downtown Square.
Trick or treating will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at participating merchants.
The costume contest will be at 4:30 p.m. at the gazebo by Tyler, King and Ryder.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the first place winners in the age categories 0-3, 4-6 and 7-12.
A runner up will also be chosen and will be awarded a Halloween gift.
Participants will be selected by a panel of judges and must be in full Halloween costume.
There is no fee to register to participate.

Participants can register for the event the day of the Safety Parade at the gazebo from 3:30-4 p.m.
