KOSCIUSKO —
Houston Therrell, who is serving as a regional forestry agent with the Mississippi State University Extension Service, introduced himself to the Attala County Board of Supervisors during their Tuesday morning meeting.
Therrell, a native of Attlaa County, said he was glad to be back home and sought the approval and input from the supervisors about doing some landscaping around the extension service office.
The supervisors said they would be glad for Therrell to do the work.
Therrell said he hoped to get some of the landscaping materials donated from local businesses.
Inmate labor was also granted by the supervisors.
The board approved the following:
–A change order for two box bridges as they need some erosion work.
–School bus turnaround for Carolyn Dees.
–Copy machine lease with Rose Business Equipment for the circuit clerk’s office.
–North Central Planning and Development District board meetings for 2013 to include: Charles Fancher, Eddie Womble, Gerry Taylor and Tim Pinkard.
–Claim for repair work to a dump truck in District 1.
The board took under advisement a tax refund for Fay Sandier. The supervisors are waiting for work from the state tax commission.
A school bus turnaround for Whitney Howard and Benita Furr was not approved due to the paper work not being correctly completed.
