KOSCIUSKO —
A Canton man has been charged in an October burglary of Attala Lawn and Garden and theft of a vehicle from Waters Truck and Tractor.
The Kosciusko Police Department along with the Mississippi Agricultural Theft Bureau and the Madison County Sheriff’s Department arrested Willie B. “Willie Boy” Taylor and charged him with burglary and vehicle theft.
According to a KPD press release, Taylor was apprehended operating the stolen vehicle that had been re-registered and the Vehicle Identification Numbers had been altered.
Taylor is currently in Madison County Jail on other charges as well as a parole violation.
Approximately $40,000 worth of lawn equipment was taken from Attala Lawn and Garden.
On Monday, Dolphus Brooks, 49, was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident (felony) by Investigators Pete Belk and Mark Hill.
On Monday, Willie Wright, 48, was arrested for contempt of court on North Natchez Street by officer Bradley Fancher.
On Monday, John Emmet Ellis, 40, was arrested for possession of marijuana (misdemeanor) and open container violation on Highway 35 South by Officer Greg Collins.
On Sunday, Antron D. Dotson, 28, was charged with speeding and suspended driver’s license on Highway 12 West by officer Jerry Coleman.
On Sunday, Jazmine M. Sowards, 28, was charged with embezzlement at Walmart by Capt. Herbert Dew.
On Saturday, Vernon Triplett, 30, was charged with contempt of court on Highway 12 West by officer Jimmy Evans.
On Friday, Nolan G. Gentry, 52, was charged with public drunkenness, open container violation and disturbing the peace by Cpl. Bobby Land on Lucas Street.
On Friday, Sharon D. Smith, 26, was arrested for switched tag and contempt of court on Highway 35 South by Collins.
On January 23, Teresa Gail Hutchison, 21, was arrested for first offense shoplifting, possession of controlled substance (misdemeanor), and open container violation on Highway 35 South by Cpl. Danny Groves.
