ACSD busy working deer accidents
Now that cooler night time temperatures are here. The Attala County Sheriff’s Department has been writing up and working several wrecks involving deer.
The department is reporting four deer/automobile collisions and Lee said those are just the ones that his department has worked.
He added the the Highway Patrol has also worked several in the area.
Lee said people should use caution and watch for deer especially when driving at night.
No one was seriously injured in the accidents.
Vehicle break-in
On October 19, Latoya Dotson’s truck ran out of gas.
When she returned with gas, she found her radio had been stolen along with her boyfriend’s 9 mm handgun.
The matter is under investigation.
DUI the second time
Jimmy Ticker, 46, of Attala County, was charged with second offense driving under the influence on Oct. 16.
Lee said Deputy Hugh Curry noticed a vehicle swerving and changing speeds on Highway 14.
It was then that Curry pulled over the vehicle.
